Saint Matthews Church is considered a premiere wedding venue offering couples a truly unique and historic venue. Saint Matthew-in-the-City is a neo-Gothic stone church with European and medieval features and regarded as the finest of its type in New Zealand and the only one with vaulted ceilings in stone.
The stained glass windows span 150 years and cover the East, West and North walls of the church.
Saint Matthew's has been celebrating the 'sacrament of marriage' for more than 100 years in our beautiful church.
The interior of St Matthew's is of Oamaru and Mt Somer stone with a timber ceiling in the nave. We have wonderful lighting that can be dimmed if required. Our pews are oak and kauri timber and the centre aisle carpet is dark blue

The Saint Matthews wedding package caters to small & large group bridal parties and is subject to venue availability. Should a reception meal be required please advise Auckland Weddings Online and we will forward costs.
Please advise Auckland Weddings should you require additional Wedding Service Providers for your wedding day. The required non refundable deposit to secure this wedding package is $1,500.00 (New Zealand dollars).The remaining balance is to be paid no later than one week prior to your wedding date.
